Our Honey, Our Heritage
A Family Legacy of Craftsmanship, Sustainability, & Pure Raw Honey
Owned and operated by a family of 4th generation Ukrainian beekeepers, Upper Valley Apiaries offers raw all-natural honey, apiary design and setup, and beekeeping support throughout the northeastern United States.
Our Story
Anatolii, Irina, and their son arrived in the US from occupied Ukraine with one suitcase each. In Anatolii's was the one thing he couldn't leave behind: his beekeeping suit.
A 4th-generation beekeeper, Anatolii approaches his apiary as a craft, not a commodity. And he shares that deep knowledge with the world - not only by selling the pure, raw honey it produces, but through pollination services, beekeeping lessons, and custom apiary design and construction in the Upper Valley and beyond.
Our Honey
Upper Valley Apiaries' honey is pure and distinct: never blended with imported or commercial honeys, never standardized to make each harvest taste the same. Named for Anatolii's mother, Lidia, our raw honey reflects a sense of harmony with nature: the flowers the bees visited, the weather of that particular season, and the beautiful Vermont landscape in which it was made. From tending the colonies to harvesting and preparing the honey, we work in small batches and handle each step with care.
The goal is simple: to interfere as little as possible with what the bees make so beautifully themselves.
